Smith – who is said to be dating Christian Cowan – covered her eyes with large square black sunglasses.
The Unholy singer, 30, cut a casual figure in a long black coat contrasted with cropped black shorts.
They rocked bleach blonde, tousled short hair and a full, red-tinted beard while out in the Big Apple.
The Grammy Award-winning music artist carried his phone and a small cup of joe as they left, phone in hand.

The successful singer-songwriter wore white tube socks with black sneakers with white soles.
Sam flaunted a short black manicure while balancing her items between her two hands.
The London-born entertainer appeared to be in good spirits as he flashed a smile while out and about.
Also on Tuesday, Smith took to Instagram to share fresh content with her 14.7 million followers.
They shared a snap of themselves walking down a Hollywood street in a black blazer, fitted dress and sky-high heels.
The clip was set to a song from her new album Gloria, which was released on January 26.
Referring to the song, titled “I’m Not Here To Make Friends,” they wrote “Make Friends” in the caption with a tongue emoji.

Sam’s outing and social media post comes after they took the stage at the 2023 Grammys earlier this month.
Along with Kim Petras, they performed the hit collaboration Unholy on stage during the live ceremony.
During the provocative performance of their hit single, Petras and Smith appeared in red latex surrounded by dancers with whips and horns, including Sam, whose hat was adorned with the latter.
After the performance, host Trevor Noah immediately joked that the satanic theme would outrage some viewers.
Sam then put on a similar performance at the BRIT Awards, where the presentation sparked more than 100 Ofcom complaints about “devil worship” and a passionate kiss.
