A French bus driver who is “impeccable in her job” is said to have found herself caught in an administrative maze after being mistaken for a bad driver with the same name, costing her her license and her job.
“I am the victim of a terrible injustice. That's why I can't work anymore,” complained bus driver from Toulouse in France, Kheira Belamri, to La Dépêche on Monday.
When the 43-year-old applied to be a car driver in May to “make ends meet,” she was taken out of heaven and found that she no longer had a driver's license afterward. Apparently he was arrested for speeding on the same street in Ariège , about a hundred kilometers south, repeatedly “flashed”.
The eight offenses he is accused of occurred between midnight and 4 a.m. in February and May. However, on some of their dates, the driver transported passengers to Toulouse-Blagnac airport, her agency confirmed to French media.
“Yes, she was on site with us. This woman is impeccable in her profession. We even wrote her a letter of recommendation because she wants to apply in another region,” the agency said, according to La Dépêche.
However, even after several months, the error has still not been cleared up, even if, according to the prefecture and the gendarmes, the woman was actually the victim of an administrative error, the driver suggested to the French media.
“I found a woman who has the same first name as me except for one letter and almost the same last name. And she lives in Ariège. Is she the perpetrator of these crimes? How can you prove it? I'm stuck without a driver's license. I want my points back,” she emphasized, according to La Dépêche.
