9to5Google has received Google Play certification for the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. What is confirmed by their name, their format, but also a very close launch window.

It is now an open secret. Samsung is expected to unveil its new Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 folding smartphones this month. However, the manufacturer will probably not be satisfied with this new generation of high-end smartphones. Accompanying this, we also expect the presentation of a new generation of connected watches from the Korean brand.
While the mystery surrounding the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic announcement has already been solved, new information confirms this formalization. In fact, the 9to5Google site has been able to discover the Google Play Store certifications of the two future Samsung watches and the four different formats that should be offered:
- Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 40mm: SM-R930
- Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 44mm: SM-R940
- Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 43mm: SM-R950
- Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm: SM-R960
Even if it seems harmless at first glance, this short list nevertheless confirms some information. First, if the watches are already certified by Google, that means they’re ready for Samsung to announce. Which indicates a formalization that should actually take place during the month of July.
A Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and not a Pro
Subsequently, this list confirms the name of the highest quality model. So it shouldn’t be a Galaxy Watch 6 “Pro”, as some leaks have suggested, but a Galaxy Watch 6 “Classic”. It has to be said that the watch would differ from the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro launched last year by having a true rotating crown, like Samsung offered back in 2021 with its Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Finally, the list itself also confirms the different case formats, 40 and 44 mm for the Galaxy Watch 6 and 43 and 47 mm for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
We should learn more about Samsung’s next connected watches at the conference that the manufacturer is scheduled to host at the end of July. However, Samsung has not yet announced a date for its Galaxy Unpacked conference.
