Samsung would make a bold bet with the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra by betting heavily on artificial intelligence and Bixby in particular.

It’s normal, these are the times: the future Galaxy S24s receive a lot of attention. For example, not long ago we learned that Samsung’s smartphones rely heavily on artificial intelligence to stand out. To the point where we could call any S24 an “AI phone.”
Go further than Google
Sources from the specialized website SamMobile confirm this information by providing a little more information. The idea of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra would be to even surpass the AI capabilities of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. However, this is Google’s favorite. According to SamMobile, “The Galaxy S24 series will come with features directly inspired by ChatGPT and Google Bard, such as the ability to create content and stories based on some user-provided keywords.”
As we know, Samsung’s latest high-end chip, the Exynos 2400, which we should find on our Galaxy S24s in Europe, gives special importance to AI. The manufacturer promises 14 times faster tasks related to artificial intelligence. Therefore, the brand should leverage these opportunities to push certain features. The generation of images from text is mentioned, as is the ability to perform certain complex actions offline.
Speech synthesis is also likely to improve, suggesting that using Bixby, the voice assistant developed by Samsung, would become more interesting.
“Samsung hasn’t given up on Bixby yet. On the contrary, the company will likely place more and more emphasis on Bixby in the coming years,” writes SamMobile.
A risky bet
Samsung’s strategy could be quite daring here. Bixby doesn’t have a particularly good press after it had a rather chaotic launch a few years ago. However, let’s qualify our remarks by remembering that the voice assistant works relatively well in Korean and English out of the box. But what about other languages like French?
It’s entirely understandable that a brand with Samsung’s stature would want to distance itself a little from everything – Google. The South Korean company has repeatedly highlighted its in-house ecosystem in recent years by offering options that are only available on the manufacturer’s devices.
In the age of AI and while a merger between Google Assistant and Google Bard has been initiated, Samsung therefore has some reasons to want to rely on its own horse. And I might as well start with an already established base, I called Bixby.
The bet is therefore risky, but not absurd. However, there will still be a lot of work to be done to restore Bixby’s image.
