Without much fanfare, the singer Sandy made a special appearance at the concert of the British band Coldplay at Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo this Tuesday (14). The muse had already been spotted by netizens earlier when she shared the tone.
Sandy took the stage at 10:27pm. The song chosen was “Magic”. As a result, the Brazilian also sang “When you pass (turu turu)”. (To listen to songs by Sandy and Coldplay click here and here)
“What a thrill to be here tonight. Thanks for the welcome, for the love,” she said alongside Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
The audience in attendance went wild.
The British band will have eleven performances in Brazil: six in São Paulo (four already), two in Curitiba (PR) and three in Rio de Janeiro.
During the three opening shows, held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the rain didn’t let up for the audience watching the presentations. The public shared pictures of the flooded stadium gate, slippery stands and puddles of water on social networks.
This Tuesday, the ProconSP notified the company Live Nation Brasil Enttretimento, which is responsible for the implementation of the band’s shows. The company should clarify the problems that would have arisen in recent events at Morumbi Stadium.
The company must also explain what action it has taken on the issues identified; inform what service is offered to the public at the site; and, if they are the responsibility of third parties, which of them would be responsible for that service.
Those who went to Morumbi Stadium watched the band’s big hits like “The Scientist”, “Yellow”, “Viva La Vida” and “Hymn for the Weekend”.
The rain, which didn’t let up in the capital São Paulo for most of the day, welcomed the Brazilian fans as well as the British.
Neon lights, scraps of paper and lots of lights were also part of the first concert night in São Paulo.
Singer Chris Martin toasted the audience with great enthusiasm.
Many people had to protect themselves from the severe storm that hit São Paulo a few hours before the start of the Coldplay show.
The audience gathered hours before the British band’s show amid a storm outside Morumbi.
