The block is notoriously a difficult experience for attendees trying to juggle time pressures and ever-shrinking budgets.
But Sarah-Jane revealed on Wednesday that money and deadlines weren’t even the worst part of the whole experience.
The 30-year-old social worker told 9Now she and husband Tom struggled most during Living and Dining Room Week with the “lack of work and supplies.”

“There is a lot of labor and shortage of materials and it was really felt. We just couldn’t get our hands on anything and it was just awful,” said Sarah-Jane.
Despite the difficulties they faced preparing the room for the reveal, the two said they were proud of the work done.
Tom, 34, added that overall he couldn’t be happier with his experience on the show.
“There is a lot of labor and shortage of materials and it was really felt. We just couldn’t get our hands on anything and it was just awful,” said Sarah-Jane
“I had a great time here, I was in my absolute element. I love meeting people, I love working and everyone has been so cool,” said the plumber.
It comes after the couple were forced to shut down rumors after fans of The Block speculated they could be divorcing soon due to their constant bickering on the show.
Their relationship was torn apart this season as tensions boiled over more frequently in recent weeks as they struggled to finish their home ahead of auction day.

Despite fears her marriage won’t survive the show, Sarah-Jane has insisted they’re still rock solid and have weathered bigger issues in the past.
“We’ve dealt with more daunting and tougher experiences in life. We knew we had each other’s backs no matter what,” she said on Women’s Day last month.
Sarah-Jane added that she and Tom “prepared for a really emotional and draining experience.”

“When you’re constantly stressed, you take it out on the one you love the most. Well, I do it anyway,” she admitted.
