Her illnesses halted performances of Plaza Suite, the couple’s three-act show in which they play three couples in a hotel suite.
“With both Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker testing positive for COVID, tonight’s performance of ‘Plaza Suite’ is being cancelled,” the show’s producers said in a statement to Variety.
“The producers apologize for the inconvenience this has caused viewers. Ticket holders should contact their point of sale to reschedule a future performance or receive a refund.’
Before getting her own positive test, Parker performed several times with Broderick’s understudy, Tony winner Michael McGrath.
The Plaza Suite was originally scheduled to begin previews on March 13, 2020, but all Broadway theaters were closed the day before due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple’s outing came after Broderick appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and spoke about how he felt an instant attraction to his now-wife.
The actor noted that he fell in love with Parker “when I first met her.” I saw her walking down the street and I thought, “This is it.”
The actor made it a point to express that one of the things he was attracted to was his now-wife’s “humor and wisdom.”
He also recalled that Parker had surprised him with a “trip once – a surprise, blindfolded, suddenly I was in the Caribbean”.
Broderick went on to say that neither he nor his wife felt particularly uncomfortable watching them get intimate with on-screen partners.
