The presenter of SBT Brasil, Márcia Dantas, was moved live after a report about abandoned children in Angola was broadcast this Monday 4th. She couldn’t hold back her tears and needed the help of her banking partner to continue the station’s appeal.
The report was prepared by journalist Sérgio Ustch, SBT correspondent in Europe and Africa. On the bench, Marcia cried and couldn’t hide her shock.
José Luiz Filho, who also hosted the newspaper, was the one who called the next story about the floods in Rio Grande do Sul.
“I’m sorry, Zé, the report from Angola really touched me,” said Márcia. “You can let me do it here, Márcia, don’t worry,” said José Luiz Filho.
Márcia took to social media to explain to her followers what happened and thank them for their loving messages.
“Today I almost couldn’t finish reading the newspaper because of a report about abandoned children in Angola when it affects people,” said the journalist.
“I couldn’t pretend and just move on. Maybe we have done journalism in the past where we had to be 100% serious and insensitive to just relay the news, but I never believed in that journalism. I always believed in most things.” Human journalism is possible. Several times I hold back, but this time I couldn’t and everything is fine,” he emphasized.
