SBT’s international correspondent, Sérgio Utsch, has reported on the war between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas, which began last Saturday (7). The reporter was interrupted by missiles during a broadcast for Silvio Santos’ station. He did not hide his shock that the bombings were so imminent. “Right above us,” he reported.
The journalist spoke about the situation on Wednesday (11) on the program Fofocalizando. Utch visited the home of a Ukrainian family in Israel and was interrupted by intercepted rockets while recording there. The professional showed the video on the afternoon show.
“Right above us. We saw at least three or four explosions,” he responded in the broadcast. “Much of the territory is in darkness. “Israel has cut off Gaza’s energy supply, water, food and utilities,” he said.
The reporter also stated that the country fired missiles. With less precision, debris could fall anywhere. “We pay attention to every sound we hear,” he said.
In conversation with Chris Flores, Utsch took the opportunity to thank Felipe Gonçalves, the cameraman who accompanied him while covering the war. “I’m in front of the cameras, but he’s behind schedule, works like me and takes the same risks as me,” praised the reporter.
“A lot of adrenaline, a little bit of fear, but I think it’s excellent coverage for SBT,” replied Gonçalves. “We continue to do what we need to do and not take any action that seriously jeopardizes our safety. We are prepared for it, we have experience and equipment,” added Utsch.
