Scared Of The Dark: Chris Eubank LEAVES the show

Chris Eubank ENDED Channel 4’s Scared Of The Dark during Wednesday night’s dramatic episode.

The 56-year-old boxer left the bunker after a series of arguments with the other contestants, all of whom linked without him.

During an on-camera piece, he said he had more important things to do and said he wouldn’t change his mind about it before leaving the show.

Host Danny Dyer then said: “He was the fly in the ointment of the group, wasn’t he! I wonder if there will be a domino effect and the others will want to leave?’

The seven remaining stars were then told he wouldn’t be returning, but didn’t seem too upset about it.

Love Island’s Chloe Burrows, who has feuded with him in the past, commented: “It’s a proud thing and he couldn’t admit he couldn’t!”

Elsewhere in the show, contestants competed in a group challenge where they had to move to specific spots in the dark or be electrocuted.

They successfully completed the challenge and as a reward, Scarlett Moffatt and Nicola Adams got to spend 30 minutes in the light chamber.

It comes after Scared Of The Dark viewers slammed Chris for refusing to take part in Tuesday’s challenges.

The new show continued on Tuesday night and saw tensions mount among the celebrities as they continue to live in confined spaces in complete darkness.

And Chris increasingly isolated himself from the other contestants.

In a challenge with Max George, he stopped playing irritably halfway through the game after losing several rounds in a row.

Chris then refused to participate in another challenge that would buy Max some time in the light.

The other celebrities tried in vain to persuade him, with him declaring that he “bows to no one”.

And viewers watching at home were less than impressed by his actions, taking to Twitter to tell him to play the game or leave.

One said: “Chris Eubank is actually a seriously bad guy. The man is a narcissist. How truly awful he is to these people.’

Shock: Host Danny Dyer then said: 'He was the fly in the ointment of the group wasn't he! I wonder if there will be a domino effect and the others will want to leave?'

A second added: “Bumpy kid in body of 56 year old man #ScaredOfTheDark”.

A third reiterated: “Why is Chris Eubank (a grown man) allowed to endanger other players because he’s a stubborn kid?

“You signed the contract. Fuck it, buddy. I just started watching this tonight and I don’t know how these people are handling it.

A fourth wrote: “I always thought Chris Eubank was weird but he’s crazy about this on another level. He is mentally unstable.”

A fifth suggested: “Hope someone gets a chance to buy time in the light for Chris Eubank and then refuses to do it like he did Max.”

While a sixth added: “Chris Eubank is banging on about manners etc and he’s the rudest person in there #ScaredOfTheDark”.

A seventh said: “Chris Eubank is ap****. Don’t want to play the game? Don’t go on the show.’

And an eighth agreed, saying: “I don’t think @ChrisEubank should be getting his payment for #ScaredOfTheDark on @Channel4 because he doesn’t play the game. Makes you look pathetic.

Despite calls from fans and other celebrities at the bunker for him to leave, Chris insisted he would not be leaving the show.

he said i? Walk away from a competition?’ before declaring, ‘I’m not afraid of anything!’

It comes after Chris came under fire earlier in the episode for “rudely” telling Paul Gascoigne to stop talking “tragically” about his life.

Gazza was asked by his peers about the worst night of his life, which prompted him to share a story about how a man died next to him on a plane.

He said he was upset with the passenger for “blanking him out” when he said he was scared of flying, only to learn the man tragically died during takeoff.

He said: “I had to sit next to him for 10 hours.”

Gazza, who has been open about his alcoholism, added, “I just got out of rehab and got back into it.”

However, his story prompted an angry reaction from Chris, who told him to “stop talking so tragically about his life” when they got into a heated argument.

When Gazza asked if Chris needed help with anything in the kitchen, he replied, “I want you to stop being so tragic about your life.”

To which Gazza said: ‘You will try it yourself.’

Reaction: Love Island's Chloe Burrows, who has had a fight with him in the past, commented:

Chris doubled down and continued, “Stop being so tragic about your life.”

Gazza then insisted, “I’m not here for you, your family or your kids, I’m here to challenge myself.”

But Chris continued: “Why would you tell stories that are tragic? As if they are inspirational, no, they are tragic.”

Speaking to the camera, Chris angrily continued, “All these stars in here, they’re badly behaved or badly mannered or badly spoken. Just be dignified!’
