Scarlett Johansson sold her NYC penthouse for $1.87 million… a LOSS compared to the $2.1 million she paid for it in 2008.

Scarlett Johansson has sold her two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse in New York City at a loss from what she paid for it 14 years ago.

The 37-year-old Academy Award-nominated actress received $1.87 million for the luxurious abode, down $230,000 from the $2.1 million she paid for the property in 2008, according to the New York Post.

The Black Widow star has had a property in Manhattan’s Sutton Place neighborhood listed for sale for nearly two years.

According to the publication, the New York native completed the sale of real estate on the east coast on March 11.

According to the newspaper, Johansson, who is worth an estimated $165 million, has also invested in renovations and upgrades to the property.

Johansson originally listed the home for sale in July 2020 for $2.5 million before lowering the asking price to $1.89 five months later.

She also wanted to rent out the house for $6,500 a month, according to the publication.

The luxurious abode includes views of the East River, including a deck that offers magnificent views of the New York skyline, and an al fresco dining area surrounded by lush shrubs.

The house has parquet floors as well as floor-to-ceiling sliding windows.

The in-house kitchen includes white marble countertops with stainless steel appliances.

The main bedroom of the house has a spacious walk-in closet.

The house was listed as Noble Black by Douglas Elliman.

Johansson’s husband, Saturday Night Live host Colin Jost, 39, is also active in the real estate market, listing a duplex in New York’s West Village last October.

Johansson and Yost welcomed their first child, son Cosmo, last August. The actress is also the mother of daughter Rose Dauriac, 7, with ex-husband Romain Dauriac, 40.
