Scarlett Moffatt has once again hit out at cruel mom shamers

Scarlett Moffatt has once again hit out at cruel mom-shamers for slamming her for putting ‘sneakers’ on her eight-week-old son Jude.

Scarlett Moffatt took to Instagram to hit back at the cruel mum-shamers who slammed her for letting her son wear sneakers on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old TV presenter immediately took to social media to defend herself after receiving negative comments on her latest post.

Scarlett has shared some sweet snaps of her eight-week-old baby son, Jude, wearing an adorable outfit.

Scarlett dressed him in a ribbed beige ensemble with a blue denim jacket and a tiny pair of white Nike trainers, which she described as “soft shoes.”

She wrote, “How am I having a 2 month old baby already!?”

“I’m spending the whole weekend with my family for my nanny’s 70th birthday.” We played bingo, took quizzes, ate burnt sausages on the grill, it was utterly imperfect.

“We all laughed from start to finish and Jude even went into a pool for the first time.”

Most of the TV personality’s fans pounced on the comments, raving about the cute photos. However, some followers were far from kind and slammed the star for putting shoes on her newborn son.

One wrote: “Even if he starts walking around furniture he should be barefoot or in cotton wool.” No fashionista…don’t have to be a fashion baby! “Taking care of your feet is so vital,” wrote one fan.

Scarlett hit back, “Those are crib shoes!!”

Another added: “Nice picture but please don’t put soft shoes on a two month old baby.”

A third said: “At this age they should only wear socks or baby gros x He looks beautiful and I’m so happy for you x.”

Scarlett hit back a second time: “Those are soft shoes!” They’re Nike crib shoes! “I’m not going to put sneakers on my baby.”

Babies don’t need proper shoes until they can walk, according to the NHS. However, Scarlett did point out that Jude wore soft shoes.

Visibly weary from the criticism, Scarlett commented on the post: “Thanks for all the nice comments – these are also Nike soft-bottomed crib shoes, these are not sneakers.”

Scarlett, who shares Jude with partner Scott Dobinson, welcomed the child in late June.

It comes on the same day that Scarlett hits back at the “ridiculous” mum-shamers after they criticized her for letting her son wear a hat around the house.

She defended Kate Lawler, who was criticized for sharing a video of her two-year-old daughter Noa throwing a tantrum.

Kate shared a post targeting the naysayers, with Scarlett commenting to share her own experience of mum-shaming.

She wrote, “Jude is only 8 weeks old and I’ve received so much unsolicited parenting advice.”

“We took him for a walk and I snapped a picture beforehand and was bombarded with comments and messages: ‘You shouldn’t let your baby wear hats around the house.’ It’s ridiculous xx.’

Kate is currently on holiday with her husband Martin Bojtos and their daughter Noa and said she shared the tantrum video to show what can happen when you’re traveling with children.

She wrote, “First of all, please don’t tell me what I can and can’t post on my own Instagram account.” I wouldn’t even dream of telling even a family member what to post and what not to.

“Second, the video I posted was not for ‘entertainment’ purposes. It’s hugely important for me to also share the reality of vacationing with two dogs and a toddler as so many of you have asked for advice, tips and recommendations on European road trips.

“If I were to just share cute and smiling family photos, it would be completely disingenuous and not at all representative of this journey.”

“I’m an honest person, so I was talking on Stories the other day about Boj and I arguing in the car and wanting to kill each other.”

“While we created some magical memories that we will never forget, it was difficult at times.”

She then hit back at those who said she should have left her daughter at home, pointing out that the same thing could happen there too.

She wrote, “Are you kidding me by saying that this was all too much for Noa and that’s where the breakdown came from or that we shouldn’t have taken her?”

“When we’re home, she’s slept 10 hours, woken up in a great mood, and still has a total nervous breakdown because I broke her granola bar in half instead of giving it to her whole.”

“So 8 hours in the car with unlimited food, drinks, snacks, movies, TV shows, Peppa Pig songs and stories, multiple breaks to walk and leg stretch, I-Spy games, lullabies, a tonie box, blankets, in my arms “Your hand while Boj was driving was actually less stressful than when we’re at home on a normal day.”

Criticism: Earlier in the day, Scarlett was once again forced to take a stand against the 'ridiculous' mum-shamers who slammed her for letting her son wear a hat around the house
