Scott Willis shared a sweet photo of her bond with her father Bruce Willis after learning of his aphasia diagnosis.
In the photo, Willis, 30, shared a smile with her father as they sat in an armchair together.
“Dad,” she captioned the shot, along with a red heart and flame emoji. It’s unclear when the tender shot was taken.
“Yesterday was so surreal to share something so personal,” she wrote. “I didn’t know how it would be received, there’s always an unknown when you go out into the world so vulnerable. I was hoping for some love and compassion, I truly NEVER could have predicted the depth and breadth of love we received as a family yesterday.
The world was shocked by this week’s news that Willis, 67, is retiring from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia, a brain condition that affects his ability to understand language.
Bruce has reportedly struggled with cognitive problems on the sets of his films for years – even needing earbuds to feed him lines – long before his family announced on Wednesday that the famous actor had been diagnosed with a brain condition.
An unnamed source told Page Six that his declining cognitive abilities have been an open secret in Hollywood, as the actor has repeatedly struggled to act in his films.

Willis has acted in more than 70 films since his beginnings in the 1970s. His instantly recognizable face helps sell low budget films in international markets. According to the LA Times, he has primarily worked with production companies Emmett/Furla Oasis and 308 Entertainment in recent years.
Since their announcement, his family has posted sweet tributes to the acting icon.
In her post on Thursday, Scout also included a second photo of Bruce posing shirtless with a goofy expression on his face.
He appeared to have the initials of his three daughters with ex-wife Demi Moore – Rumer, Scout and Tallulah – engraved beneath a heart symbol on his chest.
“Yesterday it struck me again and again how much love, energy and prayers were now being sent to my father and humbled me in a way that brought tears to my eyes as I write.
“I’m so grateful for your love, I’m so grateful to hear what my dad means to you. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me yesterday, I love and appreciate you with all my heart, it will be quite a while before I reply to your messages!
On Wednesday, Tallulah expressed her appreciation for all the love she and her family received following news of her father’s condition.
“I’m just blown away by the exquisite outpouring of love I’m experiencing right now,” she posted on her Instagram Stories. “Thank you all for showing up with such tenderness and breathtaking love for my dad and all my family.”
