As we previously announced, Paramount Pictures has released a new poster for “scream 6‘ Betting on a more Christmassy theme. In the material in question we can see the killer ghost face in Times Square in New York, between countless screens, but amidst these posters and images there are several references noted on the Hello Sidney website.
The art features the phrase “It’s time to panic in the city” but also features the slogan “New York New Rules” and a written sign Blackmore Universityalluding to the new location where the action will take place, the city of New York in all its fullness.

We also noticed a panel announcing the film ‘Stitch IX‘ which was very popular in the series because it was kind of a parody of the film itself in ‘scream 2‘, creating another franchise internally. In fact, the name of the fake city of this parody franchise is also on the poster, Woodsboro🇧🇷

We can see the sign that says ‘False Accusations The Musical‘, which is a reference to the first film in the franchise when the character Cotton Weary (Liev Schreiber) is incorrectly linked to the murders of Maureen Prescott, mother of Sidney Prescott.

The film arrives in Brazil that day March 9, 2023the day before the US premiere.
In an interview with GamesRadar, director Tyler Gillett told fans of the franchise that this time around, Gale’s journey will be extraordinarily memorable, with an “emotional” aspect to explore.
“I think this story is an opportunity to really delve into Gale’s world. And of course afterwards‘Scream 5’who has lost someone dear to her, there are many compelling stories to unravel with her character something people will definitely get to see. […] Look, we can’t say enough about how amazing Courteney is. Every time she appears in anything, she gives herself completely. And it’s really fun to see her as Gale. People are going to be really, really moved by the story that we tell about them in this film,” he says.
Earlier, Gillett admitted in an interview with EW that Campbell’s departure impacted the script “very much.” However, he also argued that the actress’ absence left a bright spot on the horizon, which is evident in the film’s portrayal of the young survivors from the previous film.
“We love Neve and are big fans of Sidney Prescott. But it felt like there was an opportunity to really explore this new breed of characters, and I think people are going to be really surprised and delighted at how successful this film is at doing that. This film has been with us for quite some time, but I think we continue to be amazed at how rich, interesting and deep the relationship of the four survivors is in this film.”
Gillett also revealed plot details:
“All the survivors went to New York to go to college. One of the most exciting things for us was moving the story forward and taking this horror icon to a new place. I think overall it was a fun opportunity to explore how to change the landscape of the franchise. The teaser is a good example of how much fun we’re having with it throughout the film. This is one of many sequences in the film that the city uses to its advantage in surprising and exciting ways.”
Terror will follow the four survivors of the recent Ghostface massacre: Sam, Tara, Chad and Mindy. The group decides to move away from Woodsboro to start anew in a new town. But soon the four of them become the target of a new masked serial killer. The cast includes Courteney Cox, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, Mason Gooding, Jasmine Savoy Brown and Melissa Barrera.
Please note that ‘scream 6‘ will take Ghostface and his trail of terror to New York to trace the pasts of other iconic villains. For those who don’t remember, Jason Voorhees also left Crystal Lake to visit the famous city in ‘Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Strikes in New York(1989).
