“Scream VII” has another victim — director Christopher Landon announced Saturday that he has exited the embattled slasher flick.

“I think now is as good a time as any to announce that I officially left Scream seven weeks ago,” Landon, 48, wrote on X. “This will disappoint some and delight others.” It was a dream job , which became a nightmare.

“And it broke my heart for everyone involved. All. But it’s time to move on,” he added.

In a second postexplained the “Disturbia” author: “I have nothing more to add to the conversation, except hopefully Wes.” [Craven’s] Heritage thrives and rises above the noise of a divided world.

“What him and Kevin [Williamson] “What has been created is something amazing and it was an honor to be able to enjoy even the smallest moment in its glory,” he concluded.

The Post contacted Landon and representatives from Paramount Pictures, which revived the iconic '90s horror franchise, for comment.

Landon's exit follows the departure of the film's leading actresses – Jenna Ortega, 21, and Melissa Barrera, 33.

Barrera was fired after posting on Instagram about the Israel-Hamas war.

“I too come from a colonized country,” Barrera wrote in October next to a Mexican flag logo.

“Palestine WILL be free,” she added in her caption. “They tried to bury us, they didn’t know we were seeds.

“At the end of the day, I would rather be excluded because I include someone than be included because I exclude someone,” she continued.

In a second post, the “Scream” and “Scream VI” star compared Gaza to a concentration camp.

“Gaza is currently being treated like a concentration camp,” she wrote. “Everyone cornered together, nowhere to go, no power, no water.”

She added: “People have learned nothing from our history. And just like in our history, people are still silently watching everything happen. This is genocide and ethnic cleansing.”

Barrera played Sam Carpenter in 2022's Scream alongside Ortega and franchise veterans Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell. She reprized her role in “Scream VI,” which hit theaters in March.

In a now-deleted November tweet, Landon briefly addressed Barrera's departure.

“That’s my statement,” he said tweeted alongside a broken heart emoji. “Everything sucks. Stop screaming. That wasn’t my decision.”

In its own statement, production company Spyglass Media Group condemned the “In the Heights” star’s words.

“Spyglass’ position is clear,” the statement said. “We have zero tolerance for anti-Semitism or incitement to hatred in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that blatantly crosses the line into hate speech.”

For her part, Ortega cited scheduling conflicts with the Netflix series “Wednesday” for her departure.

The new installment of “Scream” was scheduled to hit theaters in 2025 after being delayed by the actors’ strike.
