It’s cold but it still smells a bit like summer because FestiVoix in Trois-Rivières and a new festival in Rivière-du-Loup have developed their headliners.
At the Cité de Laviolette, Jamaican dancehall star Sean Paul’s name will be at the top of the bill for the 30th FestiVoix, presented from June 29th to July 8th.
The organizers of the Trois Rivières event unveiled a first line-up of artists Tuesday morning, including the names of American trad-punk group Dropkick Murphys, Patrick Bruel, Half Moon Run, Roxane Bruneau, FouKi, Matt Lang and several others.
Meanwhile, in Rivière-du-Loup, Jonathan Roy will be one of the four main protagonists of the new Musique Fest presented from June 15th to 17th in the Center Premier Tech car park.
Rappers Loud, Ludovick Bourgeois and 2Frères will be the other stars of this event, which joins the long list of festivals that make up Quebec’s summer music offering.
