Second appointment in the Big Apple with “Città Segrete”, the Rai Cultura program signed by Corrado Augias, which will be broadcast on Rai3 on Saturday January 14 at 9:50 p.m. In this new episode dedicated to New York, Augeas accompanies the viewer through well-known, legendary and even unknown stories. Among the protagonists of the story: Audrey Hepburn, Frank Sinatra, John Gotti, Margaret Bourke White, Charles Chaplin, Jerome David Salinger, Philippe Petit. And again: the assassination of John Lennon and the antagonism between two giants of journalism, Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst. Finally the locations: from the Chrysler Building to the Morgan Library to the 9/11 Memorial and Carnegie Hall.
Corrado Augias continues the narrative of “his” New York, in an interpretation of places and events that is certainly historical and artistic, but also political, reconstructing the deeper meaning that some monuments and stories had for our civic life. For this reason, in search of the mysteries of the city, we travel between distant and modern times, without neglecting the chronicle of crime stories and major events of our years. In this journey, Augias takes the viewer through New York while maintaining the story’s thread in a virtual studio, a kind of large terrace overlooking the city, between 3D objects and virtual maps.
