“Kate exuded old-school Hollywood glamor on the Top Gun red carpet tonight,” Laura noted. “She’s glowing and a lot of her makeup elements are bold, but her overall feel is still natural and youthful.
“Her eyes really stand out and she has opted for a strong brow to make a statement – you can see the defined hairlines visibly and her brows are bolder and higher than normal. A lot of attention was paid to grooming her eyebrows tonight.
“Her eye makeup is a definite nod to 1960s Hollywood with a thick, bold line on her upper eyelid and a subtle outward/upward swipe. Her lower eyeliner is also quite heavy, again fitting her ’60s vibe tonight.
“Kate applied copious amounts of mascara to condition each individual lash, both top and bottom, for definition and impact.

“She applied a creamy brown eyeshadow almost to her brow line and also in the corners of her eye sockets to make her eyes pop. This has also been blended to soften its appearance so she retains a natural look.
“She has a flawless glow about her tonight. Interestingly, you can see that she has combined both gold and pink to achieve her makeup look. In addition to her foundation, she has opted for a golden shimmer, both on her face and body, which really enhances her tan and makes her glow.
“The golden shimmer flatters her features. Additionally, her facial features such as cheekbones have been expertly highlighted with a baby pink blush that perfectly completes her evening look.

“Finally she went for a bolder lip color than usual but not overdone – I think it’s the perfect balance and really suits her.” Her lip gloss is a versatile color and looks slightly different depending on the light.”
Meanwhile, Prince William, 39, demonstrated his sartorial flair in a midnight blue Alexander McQueen velvet tuxedo, tuxedo pants and velvet slippers embroidered with miniature fighter planes in a nod to the film.
