The various trade union bargaining committees met to present to their delegates the proposed agreement they had reached with the government. They will fundamentally analyze the proposed agreement.
The main topics being discussed are salary increases of 17.4% over five years and how the negotiated $1,000 amount will be added. An amount that will be integrated into the salary and will no longer be a flat rate, comments Gérard Larose, former president of the CSN.
If this proposal is accepted, an agreement in principle will be presented to the 420,000 Common Front workers. They will then be asked to vote on the possible signing of a new collective agreement.
The CSN, present at the Quebec City Convention Center, was scheduled to continue its discussion on Friday.
They had to vote and decide on APTS and CSQ on Thursday. However, the results will not be announced until Sunday during the official speech with the Common Front in Montreal.
