The Kate Middleton Look simply took the crown – or rather, the tiara – from me.
The Princess of Wales turned heads with the Strathmore Rose Tiara – a diamond-encrusted headpiece that once belonged to the Princess of Wales Queen Mother which has not been worn in public since the 1930s – at a state banquet at Buckingham Palace on November 21st. She paired the rarely seen tiara with a white Jenny Packham dress with a short cape and gold embellishments, as well as earrings that previously belonged to Zu Queen Elizabeth IIThe result was a royally stunning look that paid tribute to the royal family’s two generations of matriarchs.
Kate was accompanied by her husband for the royal occasion Prince William and her in-laws, King Charles III And Queen Camillaas they greeted the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeo and First Lady Kim Keon Hee.
However, this wasn’t the first time the 41-year-old wore a tiara to a state dinner. Just last year, Kate wore the Lover’s Knot tiara – an accessory that has become a favorite of late Princess Diana– to a black tie honoring the South African president Cyril Ramaphosa. At the time, she completed the look with a cream Jenny Peckham dress and pearl earrings, which also belonged to Diana.
