The terrorist group Hamas released on Saturday evening (25) the second wave of hostages captured on the day of the attack on Israel on October 7.
The group included 13 Israelis and four Thais who crossed the border between the Gaza Strip and Rafah, Egypt, in Red Cross vehicles and made their way to Kerem Shalom, a kibbutz in southern Israel. In return, the country released 39 Palestinians who had been imprisoned since the start of the war.
The local army only released the names of the Israeli hostages (see list below). Among them are teenagers and children, such as nineyearold Emily Hand, who was listed as one of the victims of the attack that sparked the conflict.
Earlier this Saturday, terrorists from the Izz elDeen alQassam Brigade, Hamas’ armed wing, said they had decided to postpone the release because Israel had not complied with the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
According to the Portal news agency, the terrorist group has postponed the second release of hostages until Israel allows trucks carrying humanitarian aid to enter the northern Gaza Strip.
The first 24 hostages were released by Hamas this Friday (24), the first day of a ceasefire in the war. The group consisted of 13 Israeli women and children, ten Thai citizens and one Filipino. Israel released 39 Palestinians who had been imprisoned since the start of the war.
