Selena Gomez, 29, made her debut on Saturday Night Live on May 14. The “Same Old Love” singer revealed in her opening monologue that she’s actually “single” — and that she’s looking for her next relationship! “One reason I’m excited to host SNL is that I’m single — and I’ve heard SNL is a great place to find romance,” she told the audience. “Emma Stone met her husband met her husband here, Scarlett Johansson … and Peter [Davidson] and Machine gun Kelly‘ she continued, referencing a few key off-screen relationships including Pete and Kim Kardashian!

Sel also made it clear that dating apps like Raya aren’t her thing. “And because I don’t really want to try the dating apps, I’d love to put it out there and say I’m manifesting love and looking for my soulmate — but at this point, I’ll take anyone,” she joked. Exactly then, Kyle Mooney showed up and declared, “I’ll do it” — as in, Date Selena. After remembering that he is actually married, several others, including Punkie Johnson, tried it. “It’s vibes, but let’s see how the after party goes,” Selena joked.

Most notably, Selena dated Justin Bieber from 2011 to 2018, which later inspired her first-ever number 1 hit “Lose You To Love Me”. The singer also had a romance with the weekendwith the couple attending the Met Gala together in 2017!
The Disney graduate looked fabulous wearing a black mini dress with dazzling Mach & Mach bows and delivered her opening monologue live from New York.
Two days before the show, SNL released a teaser featuring her and a musical guest Post Malonealong with performers Aidy Bryant and Bowen Yang. In the video, Selena looked ultra chic with a simple black turtleneck and trendy jeans. “I’m just excited,” she replied cutely when asked if she was nervous about hosting.

However, SNL wasn’t the only place Selena managed to make us laugh. On her HBO Max show Selena + Chef, she shows us her hilarious cooking escapades where she cooks with various celebrity chefs. To hone her love for cooking, she recently ended a collaboration with kitchenware brand Our Place called “Our Place X Selena Gomez,” according to Billboard.
