Selena Gomez fans claim a social media feud is brewing between the former Disney star and model Hailey Bieber, despite both parties insisting it is.
Bieber has been the target of relentless trolling from obsessive Gomez fans — who refer to themselves as “Selenators” — after they mocked the singer-actress in a recent TikTok video.
Along with close friends Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye, the model has been accused of referencing a series of unflattering paparazzi photos of a bikini-clad Gomez taken during a beach vacation in Mexico in January.
The friends sync through a short video and proclaim, “I’m not saying she deserves it, but God’s timing is always right!”
The post was quickly deleted, but the negative reaction it inevitably drew led to Bieber publicly insisting that her poorly-timed video had nothing to do with Gomez.

“I never comment on things like this, but we just had a girls night out and made a random TikTok sound for fun,” she assured angry followers. “It’s not addressed to anyone.”
In an apparent attempt to placate her fans, Gomez also threw her two cents into the mix by responding to Bieber’s claim, adding, “It’s fine! I won’t let these things get me down! Be nice to everyone!’
Worse was to come, however, as fans accused Kylie Jenner of poking fun at another post by Gomez, in which the star admitted she “accidentally over-laminated” her brows.
On Instagram, Jenner struck a similar pose with the same raised eyebrows and the accompanying caption: “That was an accident ?????”
Oddly enough, the TV personality seemed to add even more fuel to the fire by recently sharing a FaceTime call with Bieber – during which both of them increased their eyebrows.
The uproar resulted in Jenner reportedly losing half a million social media followers, while Bieber’s total following dropped by nearly a million.

Conversely, Gomez saw her following increase by 10 million due to the online trolling allegations against the couple.
Gomez and Bieber were spotted happily posing for photos together at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles last year, but detective fans have since devastated the meeting, claiming the photographer was one of Bieber’s friends.
Online blogger Deuxmoi is now claiming the alleged feud stems from Justin Bieber, who began dating his now-wife just weeks after the Gomez dump.
The former Disney star is also said to be angered by Justin and manager Scooter Braun’s apparent glee after the latter bought her best friend Taylor Swift’s catalogue.

Selena stoked the flames and commented on the video: “So sorry my best friend is and always will be one of the best in the game.”
Bieber’s identical posts, which are usually shared within days, are another suspected factor in the episodes.

In a docu-series on Apple TV+, Gomez recalled privately struggling with criticism of her fluctuating weight from social media followers.
Gomez, who previously revealed her lupus medication is causing her to gain weight, described how she portrayed herself online as someone who didn’t care about the criticism — when in reality she was “crying my eyes out.”
“My weight fluctuated constantly because I had to take certain medications. And obviously people just ran with it,” she said.
“It was like they couldn’t wait to find something to bring me down. I was embarrassed because I gained weight because of my lupus.”
