We need to talk about the current celebrity craze for blunt bobs. I mean, we love it, but since when are A-listers so brave?
We’ve seen Khloe Kardashian switch from oversized mermaid waves to a blunt bob and curtain fringe for the Oscars after-party (although her hairstylist later hinted that this might only be temporary). We also wonder if her sister Kourtney Kardashian was the inspo since she went for the chop back in January. Kourtney gave her bob a stunning wet-look finish for the Oscars after-party, as did actress Lili Reinhart (see, it’s contagious!)
Well, news just broke in, another celebrity has jumped on the blunt bob bandwagon. Selena Gomez, who we last saw sporting her signature sleek bun on the 2022 SAG Awards red carpet in February, has left and joined the cut-off crew.
The singer posted a selfie on Instagram with the caption, “New hair who is that?” and honestly… WHO DIS?!
She tagged hairstylist Orlando Pita, who we can only assume is responsible for one of the chicest haircuts we’ve seen in a while. Selena’s new shorter hair not only sweeps her jawline in beautiful tousled waves, but she also has brand new bangs that skim the brows.
It’s the bedhead we all dream of but sadly never achieve (unless we someday land a glam squad as good as Selena’s. Here’s the hope).
