Selena Gomez helps Steve Martin and Martin Short open the SAG Awards

Only Murders in the Building co-stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short starred in a hilarious skit inspired by the hit film The Banshees of Inisherin at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.

The three talented actors, who are currently filming the third season of their hit series Only Murders in the Building, flexed their comedy muscles in the cute clip.

Her sketch begins with Short, 72, asking his close friend and longtime collaborator Martin, 77, if he would like to see the SAG Awards.

Steve declines and Short then mentions how he’s seemed weird all day and asks him what’s wrong. The Pink Panther actor replies that he doesn’t want to be friends with Short anymore.

“But we’ve been best friends for years — well, pretend we’re best friends in show business,” Short shoots back, stunned. “There is no one I feel closer to.”

Humorous: ‘Only Murders in the Building’ co-stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short played accents in a hilarious skit inspired by hit film ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards: “Just move your damn chair away,” the jerk actor says to the innerspace actor. His use of the word “Feckin” is a parody of how many characters, particularly those of Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell, say a specific swear word in the film The Banshees of Inisherin

“Just push your damn chair away,” says The Jerk actor to the Innerspace actor. His use of the word “Feckin” is a parody of how many characters, particularly those of Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell, say a specific swear word in the film The Banshees of Inisherin.

“Screw it out of the f*cking frame,” Steve adds as Short moves his chair away from the Texas native.

“Out of the frame? Fuck off!’ replies the Canadian-American actor before Steve threatens to cut off all his own “fucking fingers”. Gleeson’s character cuts off his own fingers in the film.

“But if you cut off your fingers, you wouldn’t be able to play the banjo anymore,” Short replies, pointing to Steve’s amazing skills with the instrument.

Gomez, 30, then walks in and asks what’s up. Steve then hands her a paper stating that he and Martin are nominated in the same category of the SAG Awards.

Short changes his tune, grabs Steve by the neck and yells, “I’m going to cut off more than your damn fingers, you doughy-faced freak!”

“It’s fine,” Selena says to reassure her co-stars. “You’re both obviously going to lose.” Steve and Martin agree and hug as the skit wraps up.

While joking about the loss of the two stars, the Calm Down singer turned out to be right in her prediction.
