Selena Gomez puts an end to the Golden Globes rumor mill.
A viral moment arose at Sunday's awards show when Gomez animatedly chatted with her pals Taylor Swift and Keleigh Teller – who looked shocked by what they heard – and a rumor quickly spread online that Gomez was talking about how she Timothée Chalamet asked for a photo with them, but was turned down by his friend and date for the evening, Kylie Jenner.
On an E! In an Instagram post about the rumor on Tuesday, Gomez clarified the matter with a simple comment. “No, I told Taylor about two of my friends getting together,” Gomez commented on the post. “It’s nobody’s business.”

Additionally, a source reportedly told PEOPLE that Gomez “mentioned absolutely nothing about Timothée or Kylie” and that the Only Murders in the Building star has “never seen or spoken to” the couple.
Gomez was nominated at the 81st Annual Globes for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for her role in Only Murders in the Building. She lost to The Bear star Ayo Edebiri.
Swift, who brought Teller (Miles Teller's wife) as her guest for the evening, was nominated in the newly created Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category for her concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. The prize ultimately went to Barbie.
