Selma Blair has been issued a restraining order against her boyfriend after he alleges he physically assaulted her last month while she was at her Los Angeles home.
In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Blair claims the incident happened between her and ex-boyfriend Ronald Carlson on February 22 after they recently ended their long-term relationship.
After an argument, the Cruel Intentions star claims Carlson, 52, lunged at her, jumped on her body and began to choke her.
Blair, who is battling multiple sclerosis, alleges in legal documents that Carlson “strangled her, strangled her and shook her head and shoulders aggressively” as she lay on the couch.
Claims: Selma Blair received a restraining order against boyfriend Ronald Carlson alleging he assaulted her…after he was arrested on charges of domestic violence.
The report claims that Blair was on medication at the time of the alleged attack due to her ongoing illness and told Carlson that she was not feeling well.
Carlson reportedly arrived at Blair’s house to return the television when he allegedly became violent and disillusioned with her.
She claims that he yelled at her in rage: “You screwed up, you can’t do anything, you can’t love anyone, you’re useless as hell, you’re a cripple.”
The Legally Blonde star claims he added, “I don’t deserve shit, I can do better than you.”
Blair details the incident in legal documents, claiming that she stuck her fingers in his eyes and mouth, and Carlson retaliated by covering her face and mouth with her hands.
She claims that at that moment she lost consciousness, as she could not breathe.

When the police arrived at the scene and questioned the actress, she claims that she had a severe nosebleed and lost consciousness again.
Paramedics then decided to take Blair to the hospital to assess her condition, the report said.
Carlson was arrested for serious domestic violence with bodily harm.
Police reportedly received a five-day restraining order against Carlson following the attack.
The actress then received a temporary restraining order through her lawyer.
In response, Carlson filed a petition for his own restraining order against Blair fifteen days after the incident.
In happier times: In January 2020, the Cruel Intentions star praised her ex-boyfriend.
In his version of events, Carlson claims that he was at her house when she asked him to sit with her.
Carlson claims that Blair became “angry and hostile” when he refused to sit with her and claims that she threw herself in his face and said, “Your daughter is a fucking loser.”
Blair has a 10-year-old son, Arthur, from her previous relationship with stylist Jason Blake.
Blair’s ex then claims that she swung at him, punched him in the eye, and attacked with both hands.
He claims that Blair scratched his nose, eyes and cheeks.
He denies attacking her and says he only reached out to her for protection.
Carlson claims her nosebleed is part of a longstanding medical problem and provided a text message as evidence.
According to the report, Carlson’s motion for a restraining order has yet to be granted.
