Selton Mello decided to share his fight against cigarette addiction with netizens and celebrated this success, after spending a year without smoking, this Thursday (11) on social networks. The actor opened up about the difficulties he encountered along the way and why he didn’t give up.

According to Selton, it had been smoked daily for 25 years, making it difficult to quit, and he said he hadn’t used any tricks to quit smoking, such as replacing it with electronic cigarettes [que é proibido no Brasil] or stickers.

“It was 25 years of smoking. i smoke a lot I didn’t switch to vape, I didn’t use glue. I decided the toxic relationship was over. If you have the will, I say: It is possible. The beginning was very difficult, but not impossible. You know what helped me a lot? “The perception that it stinks a lot,” he began.
