Forward Tyler Motte will be fired by Ottawa senators on Sunday as he could be involved in a trade shortly.

Motte, 27, is a support player who has worn the colors of five teams since the start of his career. Last September, he signed a one-year deal worth $1.35 million with the Sens.
This season, the Michigan native has three goals and nine points in 38 games. He wasted 88 goals and blocked 43 shots while recording just four penalty minutes.
Last season, his fifth with the Vancouver Canucks, Motte was acquired by the New York Rangers for a pre-close fourth-round pick. He mainly played 15 playoff games with the “Blueshirts” and scored two goals.
Motte has 71 points in 307 games on the Bettman Circuit. He also played with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
