Study Shows People Dislike Received Responses Generated by AI System

Senior Google official warns of unfair distribution of AI tools across business spectrum, widening the gap between the rich and the less fortunate

Study Shows People Dislike Received Responses Generated by AI System
The rise of AI has created a wealth of exciting possibilities as it can potentially enhance human talent and allow us to reach our true potential. However, some problems may arise, with many pointing out that AI could replace humans in some positions and leave them unemployed.

Nevertheless, many believe that AI will not replace humans, but will improve them. Cassie Kozyrkov, Google’s chief decision scientist, recently said that AI isn’t exactly new, as it’s been used in search engines and other fields for quite some time. She was successful in using AI as a huge creativity-enhancing tool, but she also pointed out another problem with AI that many are unaware of.

The distribution of AI tools may not be the same across the economic spectrum. Those in positions of privilege and power may be able to get a head start by accessing these tools, allowing them to more quickly widen the gap between themselves and those less fortunate.

Enclosing AI tools with subscription fees would certainly cause access issues. The free and fair distribution of AI tools is crucial, otherwise they will only serve the upper class and not the people who may need them most.

It will be interesting to see how these statements could affect the trajectory of the future of AI. It is already developing at a breakneck pace, but the unprecedented nature of this technology and its rate of growth raise pertinent questions. All eyes will be on AI companies like OpenAI to see how they rise to the challenge and make their AI tools open and accessible to anyone who could benefit.
