Senior producer questions Modi on Chandrababu’s arrest – Gulte

Scores of TDP supporters took to the streets to protest against the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. Some from the film industry like senior producer Ashwini Dutt and superstar Rajinikanth supported Chandrababu. KS Rama Rao, now another senior producer in Telugu cinema, wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi questioning Chandrababu’s arrest.

KS Rama Rao’s open letter says: “Chandrababu Naidu was arrested while you were attending the G20 summit and while CM Jagan was in London.” Today I have the uncontrollable scams, the political vendetta, the fake cases, the insecurity and fed up with the disregard for law and order, and now I’m asking.

Chandrababu was put behind bars by filing charges without any evidence and I am angry about it. I am not affiliated with any political party. But as a citizen of this state and country, I am tired of the current situation. Chandrababu became the CM of the unfunded state. He declared Amaravati as the state capital for the benefit of future generations and you inaugurated it. After this, a person who had spent 16 months in jail came to power and started destroying Prajavedika and did not want Amaravathi to become the state capital. They should have warned Jagan about changing the state capital.

Thanks to Chandrababu alone, thousands of people in many countries are now leading great lives working in IT. Chandrababu’s arrest has shocked them and that’s why they are on the streets to protest against Naidu’s arrest. They should have watched their protest. You should see the grief of Telugu people whose hearts burn over the arrest of a person who served the state as CM for 14 years. At least now, release Chandrababu Naidu and dismiss Jagan’s government with the power to be Prime Minister. Bring presidential rule to the state until the next elections. By doing this you will gain the trust of Telugu people. Please respond immediately to restore democracy in the state.”
