Sentenced to death for killing a pregnant woman and stealing her fetus

A 29-year-old Texan woman has just been sentenced to death for killing a pregnant woman and stealing her fetus.

Taylor Rene Parker was found guilty on October 3 of the October 2020 murders of Michelle Simmons-Hancock and her child.

During the observation of the verdict, the relatives of the 21-year-old victim came to testify of their desperation since the tragedy.

“My only sister. You must understand what you have taken from my family and me (…) She will never be my bridesmaid. If I want to see my sister, I have to go to the cemetery and her headstone,” Emily Simmons said.

Fake Pregnancy

The trial showed that Taylor Parker faked a pregnancy for many months to prevent her boyfriend from leaving her, reports the New York Post.

Prosecutors say she wore maternity clothes and obtained fake ultrasounds. She even organized a party to reveal the gender of this “fake” baby.

The young woman, who was infertile following a hysterectomy, had told her boyfriend that her confinement would be induced on October 9, 2020.

That day, instead, she went to the home of Michelle Simmons-Hancock, who killed her with a hammer before cutting open her abdomen and stealing her fetus.

Then she fled with the little girl who did not survive.
