According to local authorities, at least a dozen people were injured in further air strikes on Ukrainian cities. In Zaporizhia, Russian missiles damaged a residential building, a school and energy infrastructure, the governor of the regional administration, Olexander Starukh, announced on Friday. At least three people were injured.
Authorities in Kharkiv also reported further Russian attacks.
A total of nine people were injured, regional governor Oleh Synyehubov said on his Telegram channel. He called on residents to go to shelters. Warzone information is difficult to verify.
Ukrainian rocket artillery hit a ferry crossing late on Thursday, Kherson region deputy governor Kirill Stremousov said. Details of the Zaporizhia explosions were not yet available. Governor Olexander Staruch has so far only reported on the detonations. According to state news agency Ukrinform, homes and civilian infrastructure were damaged by Russian bombing.
Russian forces have intensified their rocket attacks on power plants in Ukraine in recent weeks. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday imposed national restrictions on electricity use for the first time since the Russian invasion in late February.
