Series Plus A second season for Black Beast

Series Plus: A second season for “Black Beast”

series black beast, whose first season had won four Gémeaux awards for its artists, including Best Dramatic Series, will be eligible for a sequel to Séries Plus.

Sophie Cadieux and Martin Dubreuil will reprise their respective roles as psychiatrist Éliane Sirois and Detective Sergeant Jasmin Boisvert in the six new episodes written by Patrick Lowe and Annabelle Poisson, directed by Louis Bélanger and produced by Encore Television.

Filming will begin in mid-May and production is in the process of finalizing the casting of the roles.

Here’s the synopsis of Séries Plus: Four years after a high school massacre, Éliane and Boisvert reunite and team up with a defense attorney to shed light on another tragedy. A 35-year-old mother, Pascale, has just poisoned her two children. While Madeleine, 7, gets away with it, Mika, 4, dies. Recently separated from her husband, Pascale seems to be the typical portrait of the jealous and abandoned woman who wanted revenge to kill her children. What if reality was more complex? Together, Éliane, Boisvert and the lawyer will work hard to understand what was going through the mind of this seemingly uneventful mother.

The broadcast of the new season is planned for spring 2024. Viewers who have not yet seen the first version broadcast in 2021 can do so on Serie Plus from Thursday, April 27, 9 p.m.

After winning four twins – Best Drama Series, Best Texts (Patrick Lowe, Annabelle Poisson), Best Direction (Sophie Deraspe) and Best Female Lead: Drama Series (Isabelle Blais), Bête Noire set out to conquer the planet, after their influence reached hundreds of countries to date. Encore Télévision is currently at the Séries Mania festival in France to promote Bête noire.
