Service partially suspended between Metro and North New Haven, Harlem

NEW YORK (WABC) — The Bronx’s New Haven and Harlem Metro-North lines are partially out of service as crews urgently repair a bent girder in a Parkway overpass above the tracks.

Teams from the New York State Department of Transportation were conducting overnight repairs on the Bronx River Parkway when the girder buckled, leading to the partial suspension of Metro-North service for safety reasons.

Harlem scheduled service between Williams Bridge and Wakefield has been suspended.

The New Haven scheduled service between Williams Bridge and Mt. Vernon East has also been suspended.

Additionally, there will be no Yankee Clipper service for Saturday’s Yankee Stadium game against the Kansas City Royals.

Operations will resume when DOT crews are able to stabilize the overpass, allowing trains to safely run on the tracks below.

Customers are advised to seek alternative travel options or take the Hudson line, which continues to run regularly, at least until early Saturday afternoon.
