Seth Rollins is the top contender for the US title; Bobby Lashley fired on Raw

WWE began this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw by crowning Alexa Bliss as the new number one contender for Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship following her victory over Bayley.

The show ended with Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley battling to become Austin Theory’s new number one contender for the US Championship.

Of course, they’re not the only sharks circling the champion. Dolph Ziggler had his time to pre-cut a backstage promo before telling Theory to “watch out.” He’s not going away anytime soon.

He will have to wait for Rollins though as he pinfalled Lashley in a really good back and forth match between two of the red brand’s top guys. They protected Lashley again in the finish when he hit a spear that was enough to score the pinfall, but the referee took a jab on the outside and couldn’t get in the ring fast enough to count. Deciding to go for another spear, Rollins countered him into the Pedigree for the 3 count.

After the match, Lashley, angry at the way the match went, again attacked a referee. Adam Pearce quickly came onstage to say he would be handcuffed and Lashley responded by physically pushing him away.

Pearce didn’t take it too kindly.

“You’re fired!”

And so the show ended.
