On Wednesday, DailyFaceoff media reporter Frank Seravalli reportedly suffered a fractured fibula during last Monday’s Winter Classic duel.

DeBrusk had been dominant in that encounter, he scoring both of his team’s goals in a win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 26-year-old has struck 16 times and provided 14 assists for 30 points in 36 games so far in 2022-23.

At this time, the Bruins have not publicly discussed DeBrusk’s condition. However, the forward did not train for his Los Angeles team as the Massachusetts club prepare to face the Kings on Thursday night.

This is the first duel of a three-player journey on opposing ice rinks. DeBrusk would not have accompanied his teammates to the West Coast of the United States.
