Two people were killed and several injured after an elderly gunman opened fire in Paris, sparking “total panic”, according to local reports.
The shooter, believed to be a 69-year-old retired train driver, opened fire on the Kurdish Cultural Center in the 10th arrondissement near the Gare du Nord.
The police managed to snatch the gun from him and arrest him during the bloody killing spree.
Local news outlets claim that so far two people have been confirmed dead and four injured, two of whom are in critical condition, but police have not yet confirmed the victims.

Paris police said they were dealing with an incident on Rue d’Enghien and urged the public to stay away from the area.
A witness told French news agency AFP that seven or eight shots were fired as chaos broke out in the surrounding streets.
A shopkeeper in the area said: “It was total panic. We’ve locked ourselves in.”
Local resident Emmanuel Boujenan said: “There was panic shouting at the police: ‘He’s here, he’s here, come on!’ by pointing out a hair salon”.
Stretchers were taken to the scene and a security perimeter was set up by police.
Paris has been the target of a series of deadly gun and knife attacks in recent years.
The shooter’s motives remain unclear.
