The Israeli defense system intercepted several rockets over Jerusalem this Friday (15), shortly after antiaircraft sirens began to sound, AFP journalists reported.
The Israeli army said the sirens last sounded in Jerusalem on October 30. AFP journalists saw the Israeli defense system intercept at least two rockets.
Rescuers rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised in Jerusalem and near Beit Shemesh, the Magen David Adom emergency service reported, adding that “no injuries have been reported for now.”
The Israeli army told AFP that of the “six launches towards Israel,” three were intercepted. The other three made their way to uninhabited areas, he added.

At the same time, Israel continued its operation in Gaza despite international calls for restraint.
The war was triggered by the bloody attack by the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas in southern Israel on October 7th, in which, according to authorities, around 1,200 people were killed, most of them civilians.
In response, Israeli forces launched an air and ground attack that reduced large parts of the Gaza Strip to rubble.
According to the Hamas Ministry of Health, more than 18,700 people, mostly women and minors, died in Palestinian territory.
