Presenter Dudu Camargo has been fired from SBT after 15 years with the broadcaster. Throughout his career, he caused controversy inside and outside of the programs he attended.
Pursuit of Silvio Santos. With the ordered resignation, Dudu would have pursued the owner of SBT in a hair salon to secure his job. According to the IG portal, he is said to have been there three times and asked to withdraw.
Lack of commitment. The presenter was absent from SBT for 40 days. Previously, he no longer actively participated in the agenda and inquiry meetings.
Maisa Silva and Femicide. Silvio Santos suggested that Dudu and the actress should date, but she was unwell and dumped him. Earlier this year, Dudu recalled the situation and compared it to a case of femicide that he reported on.
Sexual harassment. Dudu was ordered to pay Simony R$30,000 in compensation after groping her live on Rede TV! during Carnival 2020. On that occasion, he complimented the singer’s body and touched her under the pretense of seeing her costume.
Disagreements with Marcão do Povo. The presenters performed live intrigues in “First Impact”. At one of the season changes, Marcão complained that Dudu was late and “wouldn’t stop talking”.
transphobia. During “Passa ou Repassa,” Dudu asked Léo Aquila, a trans woman, if she had a “dick.”
Pedophilia. He was accused of texting a 13yearold boy asking for photos and proposing a date. The boy’s sister went viral by posting the conversation on the internet.
