First she received scathing criticism from Internet users, now it was Shaila Dúrcal herself who expressed her opinion on the new version of “The Cat Under the Rain”, the iconic song that made her late mother Rocío Dúrcal a legend and which she now performed became Angela Aguilar.
The Mexican singer released the cover of the song in collaboration with DJ Steve Aoki. Not only did they make it a song of the electronic genre, but they also dared to change the name to “I invite you for coffee.”

Given the controversy that the new musical offering has caused, journalists took advantage of Shaila’s visit to Mexico, who arrived in Colima to celebrate Independence Day, to express their opinion on the issue.
“I think they changed the name and I don’t know to what extent that’s possible,” Shaila said bluntly; and also added a sarcastic note about the change: “Look at the creativity.”
She strongly emphasized that it would have been better if she had played it. “It would have been better if I had, now I’m going to talk to Guetta,” he said jokingly.

Dúrcal, who acknowledged that it is good to remix popular songs like her mother’s, pointed out that she noticed the new version because she is a follower of the DJ.
