Shailene Woodley shared a message via "grief" After Reported Split From Aaron Rodgers

“Speaking out our grief for someone we’ve lost, or a country or homeland we’ve lost, is in itself the greatest praise we could ever give them.”

For context, Shailene and Aaron met and got engaged back in 2020. Fast forward to February, and reports claimed that Aaron and Shailene called off their engagement and split. Aaron then publicly apologized to Shailene for the backlash she encountered after he made false and misleading claims about the COVID-19 vaccine.

“While Shailene is supportive of Aaron’s career, he put football first and they hardly spent any time together,” a source told In Touch.

Shortly after the split, however, the two were spotted together on numerous occasions – with reports from some PDAs even making headlines. Then, earlier this week, People and E! reported that the couple had split up again — this time forever.

“Shailene tried to give it another try and was hanging out with Aaron,” a source told E! “But she quickly saw that everything was on his terms and nothing would change. There was no reason to move on and she’s done with it again.”

While neither Aaron nor Shailene have publicly commented on the reported split, Shailene shared a quote on her Instagram story: “The outspoken grief for someone we’ve lost, or a country or home we’ve lost, That in and of itself is the greatest compliment we could ever give them.”

The quote is attributed to Martín Prechtel.

“Sadness is praise, for it is love’s natural way of honoring what is lacking.”

We’ll update you if Shailene or Aaron comment more formally on the reported breakup.
