After it was announced yesterday that Shakira faces a new tax battle with the Spanish authorities, The singer has decided to break the silence with the help of the legal team that has been advising her for a number of years.
According to a statement from her lawyers, the Colombian found out about this setback through what was published in the various media and not through an official document.
“As has been the case for years, the singer once again learned of the filing of this lawsuit through the media, testament to the media and reputational pressures she faces. As has been officially communicated to the Spanish Ministry of Finance, Shakira has been residing in Miami for a few months and as required by law must be notified in person at her new address,” the letter reads.
Shakira’s legal representatives also assured that there was a reply from the relevant authoritiesShe will remain focused on her new life in Miami and her achievements at a professional level.
Shakira’s triumph at Premios Juventud is overshadowed
Shakira triumphs at Premios Juventud with eight awards, followed by Karol G and featherweight, according to official reports from EFE in the total number of awards given.

During the Univision Network Event Gala, Shakira won the awards for Best Pop/Urban Song (for “Shakira: BZRP Music Sessions #53”), Premios Juventud Femenina Artist, Best Song for My Ex (“TQG”), Girl Power (“TQG”), Best Urban Track (“TQG”), Best Urban Pop Collaboration, Tropical Mix, and Social Dance Challenge.
