The television show was not without controversy, with some fans claiming it was too soon to air following the death of the cricket legend.
The miniseries star, Alex Williams, spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle.
“The show is really a celebration of his life so feelings are mixed, obviously everyone was devastated, the country too,” the actor told the publication.

“But you know, we set out to celebrate his life and we knew we were going to do that, so yeah, that was the goal,” the 33-year-old continued.
“And you had to convey that joy, he lived his life with joy, and you know he was a magnetic person,” he continued.
“You didn’t want to leave.” [into work] Every day, with that feeling on your shoulders, you kind of had to bring the pull with you.”
It comes after Shane’s ex-wife Simone Callahan criticized the timing of the miniseries.
