The duo shared a warm hug and laughed a few times for the cameras before entering the star-studded venue.
The Clive Davis Pre-GRAMMY Gala has been held every year since 1976 on the evening before the annual Grammy Awards.
It has become a cultural icon and a crown jewel of the music industry's premier weekend, with a star-studded guest list and standout performances that will be remembered.
The invitation-only soiree was also attended by celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Julia Garner and the members of Green Day.
Davis spoke about the legendary soirée in an interview with Variety on Thursday.
“We don't discuss performances because the whole thing is a surprise.” But in the audience it will be [Motown founder] Berry Gordy and Diana Ross and Jay-Z and Beyoncé and Bon Jovi as well as newer artists like SZA, Ice Spice, Noah Kahan and [basketball great] Scottie Pippen and [tennis superstars] Martina Navratilova and Serena Williams.
“I think it will be the 24th or 25th year in a row for Nancy Pelosi. 'It's a unique audience.'
He added: “We're here for the party, so obviously there's a lot on my mind at the moment.”
“People fly in from all over the world and we hope to meet and perhaps even exceed their expectations.” This is a big challenge. I'm taking it seriously and I'm excited.'
The Pre-GRAMMY Gala, sponsored by Hilton, IBM and Mastercard, honors Jon Platt, Chairman and CEO of Sony Music Publishing, as the 2024 GRAMMY Salute To Industry Icons Honoree.

The party comes ahead of the 2024 Grammy Awards, which will honor music's brightest stars on February 4 at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles.
This year's celebration will be hosted by Trevor Noah and will air live at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT on CBS and its streaming service Paramount+.
This year, SZA leads the nominations with a total of nine nods, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Taylor Swift follows close behind with six nominations and will also be up against SZA in the three categories mentioned above.
