(CNN) – Actress Shannen Doherty shared the news to her followers on social media that her breast cancer had metastasized.
This Tuesday, the Beverly Hills, 90210 star posted a video on his verified Instagram account of himself undergoing treatment with tears filling his eyes. The message attached to the post began with “12. January 2023”.
“On January 5, my CT scan showed metastases in my brain. “Yesterday’s video showed the process of putting on the mask you wear while your brain is being irradiated,” he continued. “January 12 was the first round of radiation.”
“My fear is obvious. I’m extremely claustrophobic and have a lot going on in my life,” Doherty, 52, wrote. “I’m lucky because I have great doctors like Dr. Amin Mirhadi and the amazing technicians at Cedar Sinai. But this fear… “The turmoil… the timing of it all… This is what cancer can look like,” the message concludes.
The “Charmed” star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and went into remission two years later. In 2020, Doherty announced that her cancer had returned, spread and was in stage 4.
