Shannon Sharpe says he’ll be back on TV “soon in the morning” after his departure from Undisputed

Shannon Sharpe has already announced a return to television less than a week after his last appearance on Undisputed with ex-partner Skip Bayless, while the football analyst eyes his next appearance in the media.

On Monday, Sharpe – a three-time Super Bowl champion – shared snaps of himself on the streets of Los Angeles on social media as he entered. He wore a gray tracksuit, paired with mostly pink Nike trainers and a black and gold shoulder bag in what seems like a pretty snazzy venue.

“I enjoy my early morning workout, late breakfast and the break from wearing a suit every morning,” Sharpe wrote in the caption of his Instagram post. ‘…… but only for a little while. “I’ll be back on TV tomorrow morning.”

The Pro Football Hall of Famer also gave some hints that he would be meeting with at least one person to discuss his future and his Club ShayShay podcast, sharing multiple hashtags online such as “#brunch”, “#talkshow ‘ and ‘#Podcasting’.

Last Tuesday, Sharpe broke down in tears while saying goodbye to Bayless, who said he couldn’t sleep at all the night before his final episode with the ex-NFL tight end when Sharpe, 55, broke up to his seven-year tenure as the show’s co-host.

His exit from the talk show came months after some tense disagreements between him and Bayless — most notably over how the NFL should have handled the response to Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest in January.

That night, the NFL was unable to reschedule the Buffalo Bills game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to scheduling conflicts, despite concerns about Hamlin’s health being expressed by an overwhelming majority of players and staff.

“No doubt the NFL is considering rescheduling the rest of this game – but how?” “So late in the season, a game of this magnitude is critical to the outcome of the regular season…which suddenly seems so irrelevant,” Bayless tweeted.

Sharpe was noticeably absent from Undisputed the next day, and when he returned a day later, he was visibly frustrated at Bayless interrupting him while trying to explain his point on the matter.

Bayless apologized for the tweet but did not delete it.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith offered Sharpe – his “brother” – a spot on his talk show First Take amid a string of ex-pro-turned-analysts who have included Michael Irvin, Keyshawn Johnson, Ryan Clark, Dan Orlovsky , Marcus Spears and Damien Woody.

However, it’s unclear if Sharpe met with anyone who works for ESPN Monday morning.

Earlier this month, following reports of Sharpe’s acquisition deal with Fox Sports, Smith announced that he and the former NFL tight-end had agreed to appear on both “Club Shay Shay” and Smith’s show of the same name in the coming months.

Sharpe hasn’t really delved into the reasons behind his departure from Undisputed, having opted to only reveal details about his departure on air, but he did tweet a “liked” ahead of his final appearance on the talk show me,” commenting on his split from Bayless in early June.

“Their relationship has continued to deteriorate over the last 2 maybe 3 years due to Skip struggling to be on this show but I feel like Skip couldn’t take Shannon succeeding without her, and that’s when Skip snapped sharp footage on air,” the tweet reads.

The New York Post quoted “people close to Sharpe” as saying he wanted more say in the talk show’s themes.

Arguably one of the best tight ends in NFL history, Sharpe won two Super Bowls with the Broncos and another ring with the Baltimore Ravens.
