Sharon Osbourne gives health update after medical emergency: ‘Home and fine’

Sharon Osbourne took to Instagram on Monday to tell her fans that she is “back home and doing great” after the 70-year-old was rushed to hospital following a medical emergency.

Osbourne shared a picture of her pup sitting in front of a Christmas tree. She also thanked everyone for all the love.

On Saturday, Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar confirmed to Fox News Digital that Osbourne was taken to the hospital following a medical emergency on Friday night.

The Ventura County Fire Department told Fox News Digital that around 6:30 p.m. Friday, their team responded to a “medical call” at the Glen Tavern and rushed a patient to Santa Paula Hospital.

Following the news, Osbourne’s son Jack Osbourne shared an update on his mother’s condition on Saturday.

The 37-year-old TV personality reassured fans that the former talk show host is now home after receiving “the all-clear from her medical team.” He also addressed reports that Sharon was filming an episode of The Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventures” when she experienced a medical emergency.

“Ok here’s what I’m going to say – first things first, MY MOTHER DID NOT SHOOT AN EPISODE OF @ghostadventures,” Jack wrote in a post on his Instagram Story on Saturday. “She did an episode of Night of Terror with me. Hahaha.”

He continued, “Now that we’ve got that straight … She’s been given the all-clear by her medical team and is now at home. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support.”

“What happened to my mother — I’ll leave it to her to talk about when she’s ready.”

Sharon’s medical emergency follows a challenging year for the Osbournes.

Her husband Ozzy, 73, announced in January 2020 that he has Parkinson’s and underwent major surgery last June.

She opened up about her husband’s difficult surgery during a recent appearance on her UK chat show Talk TV.

Sharon also revealed at the time that this procedure would “really define the rest of his life”.

Thankfully, Ozzy expressed that his health has improved significantly since the major surgery.

Married since 1982, the Osbournes have entered a new phase in their relationship since the former Black Sabbath star was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. In a vulnerable interview on the ITV show Paxman: Putting Up With Parkinson’s, Sharon shared: “When I look at my husband my heart breaks for him.”

She admitted in October, “All of a sudden, your life just stops, life as you knew it.”

The Osbournes, who celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary a few months ago, have been candid about the struggles they have faced both professionally and personally in recent years.

Sharon reluctantly quit her job as the host of The Talk last year.

In recent years, Ozzy has suffered multiple health issues due to his condition and has had to make significant changes to the way he spends his days.

In addition to Kelly and Jack, the couple also shares daughter Aimee. Ozzy also has Louis and Jessica from his previous marriage to ex-wife Thelma Riley.
