Sharon Osbourne has revealed that Whitney Houston once accused her of trying to sleep with her husband Bobby Brown, leaving her so unsettled by the shock encounter that she gave the late singer her ring to calm her down.
The former X Factor judge, 71, said the confusion arose during rehearsals for the VH1 show Divas Duets in 2003, when Whitney was rehearsing and Bobby and her daughter Bobbi Kristina ended up sitting next to Sharon to watch.
However, according to Sharon, Whitney didn’t like her obvious closeness to Bobby as she finished her sound check on stage.
“I was hosting the Divas for VH1 and was doing sound check, and Whitney was on stage doing her sound check,” Sharon recalled on her family podcast The Osbournes.
“Your little girl seemed to enjoy watching [our former MTV reality show] The Osbournes and she came over and sat next to me – a beautiful little thing. And then suddenly her father came and sat next to me, Bobby.’

She continued: “Whitney is up there singing and she stops singing and the track is still playing and slowly the track stops.” And she says, “Mrs. Osbourne, are you trying to fuck my husband?” And I say : “No, no, please, that’s not me!”
Sharon, who had been married to Ozzy Osbourne for 21 years at the time, jumped out of her seat in a panic, ran down the aisle and protested her innocence.
“I said, ‘No, no, no, you don’t understand. That wasn’t me,'” she said.
Luckily, her pavé diamond ring saved her from further embarrassment by distracting the singer, who demanded a closer look.
Sharon continued: “She said, ‘Let me see this ring,’ and I said, ‘I’d love it if you had it.’
“I gave her the ring, threw it at her and said, “I promise you, I’m not interested in your husband, I’m married!”
The VH1 Divas Duets hosted by Queen Latifah was a benefit concert for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. There were musical performances by Beyoncé and Jewel, Lisa Marie Presley and Pat Benatar, The Isley Brothers and Ashanti, and Chaka Khan and Mary J. Blige.
