In addition to taking the pop music scene by storm in the late '80s and early '90s – becoming the youngest woman ever to write, produce and perform a No. 1 single with Foolish Beat – Debbie has also had a career as an actress the Broadway musical stage.

In 1987, out of the blue, an aspiring 16-year-old girl from Long Island, New York appeared with her debut pop album, which was a huge success around the world, going five times platinum and spawning five hit singles.

Their second album two years later, Electric Youth, was also a huge success and resulted in three hit singles, including the chart-topper “Lost in Your Eyes”, which spent three weeks at No. 1.

The actor then moved to Broadway, where he appeared in musicals such as Beauty and the Beast as well as several television roles in the '90s and beyond.

And she dated stars like Lorenzo Lamas and Ryan Seacrest.
